Dogsled Alaska offers tours weekly Tuesday-Friday at 9:00AM, 10:30AM, 12:00PM, 1:30pm, 3:00PM. Pre-booking is available and encouraged to reserve your spot.
What to expect
Upon arrival, please check in at the clubhouse on the second floor if you’ve pre-booked your tour. If you haven’t booked in advance, you can also purchase tickets here. Feel free to relax and explore the clubhouse while you wait for your adventure to begin.
Your guide will introduce you to the world of mushing, walk you through its rich history, answer any questions, and get you geared up for your experience.
Next, you’ll head outside to meet our musher, Robert, and his team of elite sled dogs. Once the dogs are fired up and ready to go, you’ll take turns mushing down the trail, meeting the puppies, exploring sled gear, and soaking in the sights and sounds of the race track.

Q: How long is the dog sled ride?
A: You will travel approximately 1/4 of a mile along the race track. Sled dogs are incredibly adaptable with the temperature but prefer temperatures 0 degrees Fahrenheit to below 0 . Due to temperature well above the preferred range sled dogs can only perform a short time before they need to cool off again.
Q: What to wear?
A: Wear comfortable shoes and bring appropriate clothing according to the weather for the day. The majority of the tour is outdoors so come prepared with clothing suited for the days weather. Some items to think about include rain jacket, sun screen, jacket, and long sleeves. Don’t forget your camera!
Q: Are there any requirements to participate?
A: All ages are welcome to participate. Minors must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. All participants must sign our participation waiver upon entering the property. Be advised there is a small amount of walking required on this tour including walking up approximately 25 stairs to the clubhouse.
